DVD Yearbooks

Product Info

Classfocus develops Interactive DVD Yearbooks, created to add depth and clarity to your students' memories of their time at school - memories that they will be able to visually share with friends, family and even their own children.

We come to your school and shoot video interviews with students. Your school can submit any videos and photos for inclusion too, so that students will be able to take a piece of their school history with them.

DVD Yearbooks cost $25 + GST per student, including design, development and on site video and photography, where logistacally practical.

Procedure

The development procedure is very simple. We will come out and video the students giving speeches, or being interviewed by friends or teachers. You then submit and videos and photos you've shot throughout the year. Development is usually completed within three weeks, and all copies delivered to your school a week later.

Remember that the content is completely up to you. You can have interviews with only the graduating year, or the whole school. You can also submit any video footage you already have, and we will include it on the DVD. This could include anything from a school musical or sporting event, to a tour of the school. Obviously the school may need permission or copyright clearance to use theatrical and musical materials.

More Details

Is it a normal DVD or a DVD-ROM which only works on computers?

We produce normal DVDs which work on normal DVD players as well as computers.

Why DVD?

Unlike a traditional video tape which just plays from start to end, your DVD will be interactive, so you can use your DVD players remote control to choose which student interview, which group interview or which memories' video you want to watch.

Why not CD-ROM?

Because you can watch a DVD on the TV with friends or family. With a CD_ROM, you have to cram around the computer.

CD-ROM was a popular format for all sorts of multimedia productions during the 90's, and it is still in use for some commercial promotional use. Even CD_ROM yearbooks have been around since the early 90's, but they never really took off because of compatibility issues and the fact that they hold so little video footage.

DVD also has far greater capacity than CD-ROM, meaning you can have hours of full widescreen video footage.
